DEDICATED TO THE WRETCH, THE RATCHET, AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN...

Let's face we have all been there before...

where we went too far with our words...

or tried to fight everyone that crossed our paths...

It may not be an everyday lifestyle for you, but we all have showed our tails in some form or fashion.  I was sweeping this morning and I ask the Lord "why you keep coming back for me?"  "Why are you so patient with me when I can't get things together?"  It's like instantly I heard the word "Wretch."

Definition of a wretch -  Very miserable; sunk into deep affliction or distress, either from want, anxiety or grief.  I also saw on that page where a wretch is a person sunk in vice.  Wow! That's a good definition.  Source: http://av1611.com/kjbp/kjv-dictionary/wretch.html

You know the song "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me."

Just because you are filled with the Holy Ghost doesn't mean you escape being a wretch.

Don't let me get the cameras out. :)  I'm the same way.  I can be kind and loving, but I can also be unclean, lost, and go to the ratchet zone when need be. :)   I try to learn from my Grandmother and my Mother from the examples of Grace they are in my life.  Even deeper I have a hunger to be more like Jesus.  Not perfect, just better than I was yesterday.  Day by day, and step by step.

I'm just so thankful because it takes a certain grace to love someone like me.  I have many bright ideas and get to moving and sometimes end up nowhere.  Sometimes I can be all over the place no matter how much I try to focus.  Sometimes I have to talk myself out of self-sabotage.  I'm sensitive and emotional at times.  Although it takes me a minute to get mad, when I do some words go out that I'm not proud of. :)  Of course there will be things that we just don't tell folks that we are so messed up in.  Jesus keeps coming back for HIS lost one from the flock...the wretch in me.

JESUS keeps coming back for you too.   Every single part of you-the good and the bad.  He is going to convict not condemn.  They talked about that in church Sunday.  Convict is showing you what you doing so you can be on the path towards working to be better.  Condemn is where the enemy wants to trap you in a pit of God doesn't love you or even like you-which is the biggest LIE ever told.

GOD loves you.  GOD likes you.  "GOD is not mad at you" as Joyce Meyer's book is so beautifully titled.

Ask the Lord to create in you a clean heart.  Ask the Lord to renew your mind.  Thank the Lord for His Grace that is so abundant.  Thank the Lord for His Mercy that is New EVERY morning.

22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
Lamentation 3:22-24 KJV

ACTION STEPS
1.  Do the work to work on being a better you.  It won't happen overnight.  In fact it may take a whole lifetime.  But I can guarantee you this, you won't ever be like you used to be!
2.  Get some Scriptures around you even if it's just one verse.  I personally go to Google and search for the "bible verses for ____" Whatever the blank may be for you that day.  Meditate on it.
3.  Seek God's wisdom.  I can't stress that high enough.  God says wisdom is the principal thing in Proverbs 4:7, so it's very important to God.
