Who You Love is Who You Obey..? (The Obedience Test)

What a strong statement.  You think about all the people you love.  Do you obey them all the time?  Is it about dominion of one person over the other.  I'm instantly drawn to and perhaps even more convicted to say that I have been obeying the wrong people.

It's time to start up this fire of obedience...

I was watching the powerful testimony of Dr. Mary Neal's life and loss on the OWN show, "In Deep Shift" with Jonas Elrod.  Powerful and intriguing I must say.  I couldn't take my eyes off her incredible journey of experience death, Heaven, and back to Earth, and experiencing heartbreaking loss of one of her sons.  She said while she was in Heaven that God gave her a mandate to share her story with the world, so it wasn't her time for Heaven then.

Dr. Neal came back and lived her life, until years down she was awakened by God rising her out of her bed to say "Now."

How many times does God have to show you over and over again in order for you to do what you were created here to do?

I felt CONVICTED in that moment.  What am I denying each and every day?  What has God shown me through trials and tribulations, or "aha" moments that I am totally denying?  What is is that God has revealed to me in my Spirit, the depths of my heart, the knowing of my soul that I am called to do that I KEEP denying?

You just keep letting the days go by that add up to the months and then to the years.

Writing a book is the first thing that comes to mind.  A New York Times Bestselling Book I may add.  It just seems so ridiculous.  I seem unqualified.  I feel simple minded at times without the correct or grammar to pull off a full length book and let alone dream a dream of New York Times Best Seller.

I keep pushing the mandate down, but it keeps piercing me like a thorn in my side-even when I switch over and try to operate life from the other side...whew! I am feeling this word right now.  Can you feel it?

Who gave me the right to even think that could be done.  So, I keep denying it.

Who gave you the right to think you could be a Mother or a Wife?  Who gave you the right to think you could be a college graduate?  Who gave you the right to think you could go further than your past?  Who gave you the right to think you even qualify for any of it...or worse deserve it?

GOD gave you your God-given birthright before you even saw the light of day of the world.  No one can change that...not even you.

I am about to share with you the most Powerful Bible Verse that you have to take with you if you are fighting with living out your calling, assignment, purpose, or mandate.
Write this one down!

For what if some did not believe?  shall their unbelief make the faith of of God without effect.
Romans 3:3 KJV
When I first discovered that verse some time back, it blew me away.  Because you are always depending on others unconsciously or subconsciously to validate you.  You want someone to cheer you on to let you know that you are going the right way.   God uses people and relationships to speak to us, no doubt, but if they didn't believe what God is revealing to you, who do you obey?

You believe God.

You believe.   Because if you read down to the next verse it says...

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar Romans 3:4

God won't be a liar.  He can't be!

Don't deny what God has over your life.  It doesn't matter if it's on stage or behind the scenes.  It doesn't matter if it's big or small.  It's about doing you...what you are called and purposed in this Earth to do.

When you roll with God, OBEDIENCE is the Ultimate mandate that we all must honor.  I mean if we really going to do this.  If we really want to see the windows of Heaven open up.  To God, obedience is right up there with faith and wisdom.

ACTION STEPS:
1.  Ask God to reveal your assignment.  Ask God to make it plain to you so you won't miss it.
2.  When God reveals to you what's already on the inside of you (your assignment), submit to it.  Submission is a process.  But it takes you right on into your promised land that God promised for you!
3.  If you are afraid or feeling inadequate ask God to give you Courage.  It takes courage to step into the unknown.  It takes courage to take steps toward something you can't even see yet.  As I venture off more into writing, and taking it more seriously, I honestly can tell you how much freedom is in being that authentic self.
4.  Read all of Romans Chapter 3 & 4.  It may only take 20-30 min. but powerful.

What are you called to do?  Are you still trying to figure it out?  Get some alone time with God and just watch what happens. :)
